💧 Part 1 of a series about Remineralu — About water and its types · Part 2: Composition Remineralu and its effect on the body

Water forms the basis of our internal environment. But it is not enough to address only its purity — also important is its mineral balance. Modern home today increasingly used filtration systems or distillation, which removes undesirable substances, but at the same time and natural minerals. The result is a very pure, but biologically "empty" water.

The water looks simple. But it's not.

H₂O. Seemingly one of the simplest chemical formulas. In practice, individual species of water varies significantly by what's in them in addition to the water itself is — or is not. Differences arise mainly in the manner of purification, mineral content and the intended use.

And it is precisely these differences have a real impact on how water tastes, how her body handles and what he brings. Or does not.

The taste of the water is not given to the very molecules of H₂O, but mostly by what ions and minerals are dissolved in it. Therefore, you may have a mountain water, mineral water, RO water or distilled water is completely different taste — even though it is chemically still the same substance.

💧

Four main types of water under a magnifying glass

Let's look at each type in detail — what defines it, how it tastes, and when it makes sense to use it.

🔬

Distilled water

Maximum cleanliness — minimum minerals
Minerals Almost no
Purity Extremely high
Taste Very flat
Conductivity Almost zero

Distillation is among the most effective methods of water treatment. The water is heated to the boiling point, evaporated and condenses back into liquid form. Most of the contaminants — heavy metals, microplastics, pesticides, chlorine, bacteria, drug residues — in the original container, will stay. The result is water with almost no dissolved substances. Excellent for laboratories, equipment and home appliances. For normal long-term drinking, however, the ideal is not — does not contain minerals and flavour is bland.

RO water (reverse osmosis)

Membrane filtration at the molecular level
Minerals Very low
Purity Very high
Taste Softer than distillate
TDS Very low

RO water is formed by filtration through a very fine membrane. The pressure will push the water through the membrane, which captures salts, heavy metals, pesticides, bacteria, and part of the virus. RO and distilled water are similar — distillation uses heat, RO membrane filtration. Distillation is "cleaner", but more energy-intensive. RO systems are now common in domestic filters and offices.

Mineralized water

Natural or controlled enrichment of minerals
Minerals Medium to high
Purity Depends on the source
Taste More pronounced
Ions Ca2⁺, Mg2⁺, K⁺, At⁺

Mineralized water contains naturally or artificially added minerals — calcium, magnesium, sodium, potassium, bicarbonates. Minerals improve the taste, increase the conductivity and complementary part of the electrolyte. This includes natural mineral water, remineralizovaná RO water and table water. One of the "healthiest" mineral water for all, there is no — body's needs are different.

💎

Silica water

Water containing silica
Special ingredient Silicon (Si)
Purity Normally high
Taste Mineral, soft
A form of silicon Silicic acid

"Silica" means carbon dioxide — in the water but does not occur as the hard sand, but as a soluble form of silicon, in particular silicic acid. Silicon is in the water gets in contact with the rocks, in particular, the volcanic. Popular for a possible positive effect on the skin, hair, nails and connective tissue. Scientific data are promising, but still limited — research continues.

Why not just filter?

Many of the common filters removes chlorine and dirt, but does not address comprehensively the quality of the water. Reverse osmosis or distillation removes almost everything — including the desirable minerals. Ideal approach therefore combines three steps.

01

Thorough cleaning

Distillation or reverse osmosis removes toxins, heavy metals, microplastics, bacteria, and drug residues. The result is pure, but the mineral "empty" water.

02

Targeted remineralization

Replenish important minerals in a biologically available form — magnesium, calcium, potassium, silicon. Maintain a natural pH level, without increasing the sodium content.

03

Proper storage

In a glass container out of direct sun, at a stable temperature. Only this combination produces water, which is not only pure, but also biologically valuable.

Just here there is a space for modern remineralization products such as Remineral. They allow you to create water with a balanced mineral profile even in domestic conditions — exactly according to the specific needs of the organism.

The advantage of controlled remineralization: The opportunity to prepare the water according to the specific needs — for example, for athletes, people with higher physical burden or people living in areas with very soft water. The standard bottled mineral water this flexibility is not offered.
🫙

Storage in the glass: a neglected detail of great significance

The quality of water does not stop her cleaning. What is important is the way of storage. Plastic containers can during long-term use, to release microplastics, or the chemicals — especially when in contact with the sun and higher temperatures.

🫙
Why be stored in a glass

Glass is chemically inert

Does not react with water and does not affect the taste or composition. Storage mineralized water in the glass brings major benefits:

  • The more stable the taste without foreign impurities
  • Maintaining the mineral balance
  • The Absence of adverse chemical interactions
  • The longer the freshness of the water

Ideally keep the water in a dark glass jar, away from direct sunlight, in a stable at room or lower temperature.

Water as an active part of the health care

The growing interest in the water quality shows that people today do not address only hydration, but also the biological value of water. The combination of distillation, remineralization, and the right storage represents a modern approach, which allows to prepare the water with high purity and optimal mineral profile right at home.

The water ceases to be only "a liquid for drinking" and becomes an active part of the care of health, regeneration and long-term vitality.

💡 Which water is best for drinking?

For the ordinary man is usually the most practical high-quality drinking water, or filtered and slightly mineralized. Extremely pure water (distilled or pure RO without mineralization) are not for the normal long-term drinking perfect — mainly because of the taste and the absence of minerals. On the contrary, very heavily mineralized water are not suitable to drink in large quantities every day.

Part 2: Composition Remineralu and its effect on the human body

In the next episode we look at the specific substance contained in the Remineralu — what makes bamboo extract, citrates, magnesium, calcium and potassium, and how these minerals affect the functioning of the organism.
